The aim of publishing this homepage is to inform a wide audience about the visions, history and current projects of the Philharmonie Salzburg, as well as to provide further information about the purchase of concert tickets. Current events of the Philharmonie Salzburg are advertised on this homepage.
The association, whose activities are not profit-oriented, has the following purpose:
> Cultivation and teaching of orchestral music of all kinds, as well as the joint development of orchestral works, taking into account the experience and musical outlook of each individual musician.
> Promotion of orchestral music-making, especially for young musicians
> Promoting young musical talents who should be given the opportunity to perform as soloists or to be performed.
> Fostering and teaching chamber music of all kinds
> Performing and teaching classical music to young people
> Performing and teaching classical music to socially disadvantaged, sick and elderly people
> Performing and communicating classical music and the sociological orchestral structure for companies and other institutions with regard to parallels between orchestras and companies.
