The unmistakable musical language and the fearless advocacy of Christian ideas and humanity of the Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki, who died in March 2020, can also be found in his piano concerto "Resurrection", written in 2001 and revised in 2007. What is meant by this is the symbolic resurrection of a traumatized population: the composer dedicated dhe work, premiered in 2002, by the victims of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on September 11.09.2001, XNUMX.
The young German pianist Luisa Imorde has set herself the goal of juxtaposing works by different composers, making them audible to the audience in a new way and revealing hidden relationships. The Salzburg Philharmonic takes up this and creates a link to the concluding “Peer Gynt Suites”. Edvard Grieg wrote these Accompanying music for Ibsen's dramatic poem 'Peer Gynt', which is about redemption through love. The good-for-nothing Peer Gynt, who becomes rich through the slave trade, becomes impoverished and has to fear for his soul towards the end, is finally redeemed by the fact that his childhood love Solvejg carries his ideal self in her heart.
