It is with great anticipation that we can announce: The Salzburg Philharmonic will probably move into its new rehearsal hall in Salzburg-Nonntal on April 1, 2025 – and with us, thanks to your help, the new Bechstein concert grand piano.

What are we still missing?
We urgently need a marimba!

Watch the young musician Jakob Mancinelli with the Salzburg Philharmonic at the concert Viva Brazil, Viva Mozart! on this magnificent instrument.

To date, however, we have always had to borrow the instrument, dismantle it into its individual parts each time and then reassemble it on site, which takes a long time.

Now you come into play!

It would be wonderful if we could buy the new instrument in the next few months, then it could move into the new rehearsal room in 2025.

What has happened so far:

The city of Salzburg has purchased the property with the support of the state of Salzburg, the renovations for the best acoustic conditions are in progress and the operating lease agreement between the Salzburg Philharmonic and SIG Stadt Salzburg Immobilien GmbH has been signed.

Thanks to your great support we have succeeded: A Bechstein grand piano will move into our new rehearsal room, as will the orchestra seating and the music stands.
