We think classic again. Other perspectives enable new ideas and new formats. Voila proudly presenting: "Symphonic Talk"!

The "Symphonic Talk" is a new, very lively concert series the Philharmonic Salzburg. This concert format has several peculiarities: The musical framework is blown up with a spoken word, besides the symphonic it is also ge-TALKED. The duration is deliberately set to 80 minutes without pause and the start time on 18.15 clock, in order to let the audience continue to inspire for the evening entertainment.

Everything is allowed! Improvisation and spontaneity desired!

In the current 2018/19 season, we are presenting a total of four "Symphonic Talks" under the direction of Principal Conductor Elisabeth Fuchs. We have also launched our own subscription series for this purpose.

Here is an overview of the upcoming “Symphonic Talks”:

  • The Symphonic Talk of our Advent program is:  Feliz Navidad, Concierto de Aranjuez  and has already been so well received by our audience as a "symphonic punch concert" that this "Symphonic Talk" already sold out on!

Don't be sad, because we are presenting two more Symphonic Talks".

In February will be married: "Symphonic Talk": "Le Nozze di Figaro - ZACK ZACK!" 

In March, spring is welcomed: "Symphonic Talk": "Hollerstauden Philharmonic"

  • "Symphonic Talk": "Le Nozze di Figaro - ZACK ZACK!": The continuation of the opera “The Barber of Seville” is about the valet Figaro, who wants to marry Susanna, the lovable Count who also pursues the latter and dreams of “the right of the first night”. The countess wants to win her husband back and the young page Cherubino hunts everything in a skirt. A story full of intrigue and confusion with a happy ending. Mozart's brilliant opera in a shortened version - Zack Zack.   • "Symphonic Talk": "Hollerstauden Philharmonic": The Hollerstauden, consisting of Eva and the sisters Eva and Vera, all three grew up in the small, idyllic village of Hollersbach im Pinzgau and were already on stage together in elementary school. Their repertoire is diverse - from Heimatlied to yodels and oldies to rock and pop. Their music lives mainly from harmonic, three-part singing, the natural way of making music and very funny song lyrics.
