As nature and climate protection are very important to us, the Philharmonie Salzburg and the Salzburg Children's Festival have decided to pay even more attention to ecological, economic and social sustainability at all their events in future. In doing so, we are guided by the guiding principles of the Green Event program, which is supported and monitored by the State of Salzburg. The focal points of the program include

  • Climate protection
  • Conservation of resources
  • Strengthening the regional economy
  • Raising awareness

The great thing is that quality and climate protection measures often go hand in hand in practice. We hope to set a good example with our voluntary commitment to the Green Event guidelines, which has been in place since the beginning of 2025!

What we actually do (selection):

  • Glass and reusable bottles instead of plastic
  • Easily accessible venues in the city of Salzburg
  • Information on carpooling and public transportation for you
  • Barrier-free venues/wheelchair accessibility
  • No more flowers for soloists, but DEMETER products instead
  • Production of our printed materials on sustainable material (70% PEFC; GFA-PEFC - COC500606 or "FSC® Mix 70%") and withCO2 compensation payment
  • Reuse of decoration and stage equipment
  • Reuse of banners (as far as possible) or reuse as protective tarpaulins.
If you are interested in sewing bags or the like from these tarpaulins, please contact us - we look forward to hearing from you!
