The year 2024 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of the great Austrian composer Anton Bruckner. The Philharmonie Salzburg and Elisabeth Fuchs will celebrate this occasion in cooperation with the Mozart-Musikgymnasium and the Musisches Gymnasium Salzburg with a major special concert: The 120-strong choir of the Philharmonie Salzburg and four great soloists (Elisabeth Breuer, Christa Ratzenböck, Bernhard Berchtold and Rafael Fingerlos) will sing Bruckner's Te Deum together with 80 choir singers from the upper school of the Mozart-Musikgymnasium/Musisches Gymnasium Salzburg. In addition, 75 orchestral musicians from the Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra will perform alongside 35 talented young musicians from the Mozart-Musikgymnasium senior school orchestra. Let yourself be inspired by the more than 300 participants in Bruckner's Te Deum, which the composer himself described as the "pride of his life". The theme of Non Confundar in Aeternum quotes the main theme from the 2nd movement of Bruckner's 7th Symphony, which will be played alone by the Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Elisabeth Fuchs in the first part of the concert.
