Family concert - Don Quixote
A cheerful ballet experience for the whole family
Love conquers all.
- Virgil
When knightly dreams turn into wild adventures, Don Quixote is never far away. In the imagination of La Mancha's most famous knight, windmills become dangerous enemies and love stories turn into real challenges.
Set to the lively music of Ludwig Minkus, a master of rousing ballet scores, a turbulent story unfolds, full of dance, wit, and heart-pounding moments: the vivacious innkeeper's daughter Kitri loves the charming barber Basilio, but her father is not at all pleased. He has very different plans and would rather see Kitri married to the rich but thoroughly unsympathetic Gamache.
But Kitri and Basilio don't give up so easily: they dance, trick and twirl around, while Don Quixote stumbles through the action with wide eyes and even wider dreams. Will love triumph in the end? That will be decided between pirouettes, spirited rhythms and a good dose of Spanish fire.
A thrilling concert experience that invites audiences of all ages to laugh, marvel, and share in the excitement!
