With Verena Altenberger, the Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra brings a true all-round talent from the world of acting and theater to the stage. With true storytelling skills, Altenberger guides the audience through the pre-christmas concert evening and accompanies musical excerpts from Bach's Christmas Oratorio with stories about the composer's family. Under the direction of Elisabeth Fuchs , the Salzburg Philharmonic and its choir present the splendor of Baroque festivity and transport the audience to a bygone era full of elegance and brilliance—following in the footsteps of the most famous and influential classical music family of the 18th century.
