G. BIZET · Carmen (abridged version)
French composer Georges Bizet created one of the greatest successes in opera history with his opera Carmen. The explosive plot revolves around the freedom-loving Spaniard Carmen, who turns men's heads and causes jealousy and obsession among her admirers. The soldier José in particular increasingly loses his footing, disappoints his faithful girlfriend Micaëla, and is carried away into increasingly disastrous actions... Between musical excerpts from the opera, narrator and actor Frederic Böhle reveals the core of the opera's plot and brings Bizet's Carmen to life in a direct and contemporary way.
