An entertaining evening serenade in the open air, light and airy: the characteristics of the “serenade” genre, which emerged in the 15th century, guarantees an enjoyable concert evening. The Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra will perform three serenades, from Leonard Bernstein to Edgar Elgar to PI Tchaikovsky. The evening's soloist is the top-class violinist Alina Pogostkina, known for her “heart-rending performances” (Hamburger Abendblatt) and her touching tone.
