Project description

Chopin's 2nd Piano Concerto & Mozart's E Flat Major Symphony
Tobias Wögerer conducts Mozart's E flat major symphony

F. CHOPIN · Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor
M. RAVELLe Tombeau de Couperin
WA MOZART · Symphony No. 39, E-flat major, KV 543

The freshness of his composition, the musical quality of the arabesques and the barrels as well as the poetic expression are signs of Frédéric Chopin's genius.
Great joy, a thrilling swing and mechanical drive reign in the suite "Le Tombeau de Couperin" written by Maurice Ravel 100 years ago. The highly sensitive musical impressionist dedicated this work to a friend who had died in the First World War. The second part of the evening belongs to Mozart's third-to-last symphony, which was never heard in his lifetime: weighty, dramatic, slow and unusual.
The young conductor Tobias Wögerer will be on the podium for this subscription concert.
