Mozart with Elias Keller
Handel's Water Music at 432 Hertz
Great University Hall, Salzburg
"The 432 Hertz mood is said to have a healing effect."
- Elisabeth Fuchs
Elias Keller is an exceptional talent on the piano. In May 2021, the 14-year-old was awarded the "Goldene Note" classical music prize, and since then he has been conquering the music world at breakneck speed. This is his second time on stage with the Salzburg Philharmonic. Elisabeth Fuchs is convinced that this is just the beginning of a long-term collaboration with him.
Do you hear the difference? The standard pitch, which has been in force in many countries since an international conference in London in 1939, was set at 440 hertz. Like many orchestras, the Salzburg Philharmonic even tunes to 443 hertz. Thus, the effect will be all the greater when Elisabeth Fuchs asks her musicians in the concert to tune their instruments to 432 Hertz. An experiment, because the two chamber tones should have a completely different effect on the listener.
