This brilliant New Year's concert combines American music of the 20th century with romantic symphonic music. The Philharmonie Salzburg and Elisabeth Fuchs ring in the New Year with music by Bernstein and Gershwin, whose compositions fuse European classical music and American jazz. The second part of the evening will feature Dvořák's 9th Symphony - one of the Czech composer's most frequently performed works. The evening's piano soloist is the young Brazilian pianist Fabio Martino.
