The Children & Youth Philharmonic Salzburg is an orchestra founded by the Salzburg Philharmonic and conductor Elisabeth Fuchs in 2022. It is aimed at music-loving children and young people between the ages of 7 and 18 who would like to gain their first orchestral experience.
The focus is on having fun and enjoying making music together, as well as regular, professional rehearsals. Three orchestra projects take place every year, each with a large final concert.
The Children's & Youth Philharmonic is financed exclusively through donations, sponsors, entrance fees and contributions from contributors. The annual budget is €75.000.
