Best of Beatles & Johann Strauss

This carnival concert will be colorful and fun when the young talents of the Children's & Youth Philharmonic Orchestra demonstrate their musical versatility. The program includes classics by Johann Strauss as well as evergreens from well-known musicals. Under the direction of Elisabeth Fuchs and with the professional support of professional musicians, the colorful mix is prepared intensively over three to five weeks and finally performed by Spiderman, Maya the Bee and Co. in the Herrnau parish church.

Violin, viola, cello and double bass, flute, clarinet

Age:
7-19 years

Requirements:
You already have a good grasp of your instrument, practise almost daily, have had instrumental lessons for at least 2 years, have a good ear and sense of rhythm and can tune your instrument independently. Orchestra or ensemble experience is an advantage.

Notes: You will receive a registration confirmation with the link to the sheet music.
Sheet music will be online as of October 15.

Good preparation and practicing of all pieces is required.
Together with your teacher, choose the parts that are manageable for you. It is also possible to swap parts for some pieces.
Sheet music with spiral binding will be handed out at the 1st rehearsal.
Missing samples are generally not possible. Mini-exceptions are always possible.

Limited number of participants (80 participants). Registration procedure basically on a first come first serve basis. However, all participants are expected to listen to the works/songs before the start of the project and to practise all pieces, and to continue practising the works at home in parallel with the orchestra rehearsals. The orchestra can only play very well as a WHOLE if everyone is fully committed.

Contribution towards expenses: 85 € and THANK YOU for your donation because the contribution towards expenses really only covers a very modest part of the total costs. The invoice for the contribution towards expenses will be sent separately by e-mail at the end of May.
