Andreea Chira, master of the pan flute, has conquered a permanent place in the world of classical music at the age of just thirty-two thanks to her unique expressiveness. Together with Elisabeth Fuchs and the Philharmonie Salzburg, the Romanian musician presents Bartók's folk dances and a trilogy by film composer Ennio Morricone. Her performance will be framed by further (this time purely symphonic) dances: Borodin's Polovtsian Dances are on the program at the beginning, and the Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra performs Tchaikovsky's famous dances from the Nutcracker Suite at the end.
