Scheherazade & 1001 Nights in the Harem with Cosima Soulez Larivière
A musical journey into the world of oriental fairy tales with actor Frederic Böhle
On this evening, the audience is whisked away to the world of Arabian fairy tales. The inspiration for the two works on the program was the tale of One Thousand and One Nights about the young woman Scheherazade, who succeeds in appeasing the evil sultan with her stories. The compositions combine the influences of classical Western and rousing Oriental music. After 2021, the young violinist Cosima Soulez Larivière will once again be a guest in Salzburg. In addition, actor Frederic Böhle will read from the old oriental fairy tale collection One Thousand and One Nights.
