The concert will take place on Thu, June 22, 2023, 18:00 - 20:00 in the Salzburgarena at the Messezentrum

The Salzburg Children's & Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, founded in 2022, will perform in the Salzburgarena for the first time under the direction of Elisabeth Fuchs ! Over 80 children and young people between the ages of 7 and 18 will perform on stage.

The first half is a summer mix of best of classical and film music.

In the second part of the evening, the young musicians perform Die Hollerstauden with the three singing Pinzgauerinnen! In addition to Mensch ärger di net, Des and Dos, I leb von Luft und Liebe, Du bist für mi Hoamat, the program also includes the world hit Des passt mir so, a cover version of Despacito, with which the Hollerstauden landed a mega hit in 2017.

Expected concert duration 120 minutes. Concerts with intermission.

Age:
7-18 years

Requirements:
You already have a good grasp of your instrument, practise almost daily, have had instrumental lessons for at least 2 years, have a good ear and sense of rhythm and can tune your instrument independently. Orchestra or ensemble experience is an advantage.

Limited number of participants
No audition: Sheet music will be sent by mail by March 15.
Good preparation and practicing of all pieces is required.
Sheet music with spiral binding will be handed out at the 1st rehearsal.
Absence from rehearsals is generally not possible.

Limited number of participants (80 participants). Registration procedure basically on a first come first serve basis. However, all participants are expected to listen to the works/songs before the start of the project and to practise all pieces, and to continue practising the works at home in parallel with the orchestra rehearsals. The orchestra can only play very well as a WHOLE if everyone is fully committed.

Contribution towards expenses:
75€ + THANK YOU for your donation, because the contribution towards expenses really only covers a very modest part of the total costs.
