Audition for academics November 2021

Intoxicating, versatile, lively! The Philharmonie Salzburg, with its varied and innovative programming with over 100 concerts and more than 70.000 listeners per year, invites academics to an audition.

Open positions for academics:

  • 3 violins
  • 1 Viola
  • 2 cellos
  • 1 double bass
  • 1 flute (picc if possible)
  • 1 oboe
  • 1 clarinet
  • 1 bassoon
  • 1 horn up
  • 1 horn deep
  • 1 trumpet
  • 1 tenor trombone
  • 1 drums

The academics who win the audition are required to play at least 33% of the requested projects in the calendar year 2022.

The honorarium of the academics follows the fee schedule Philharmonic Salzburg 2021.

All existing academics have the opportunity to extend their academy position by a further year by means of audition (maximum 2 Academy years).

Outstanding academics have the opportunity to perform in chamber music concerts or as a soloist.
