In front of an almost sold-out audience, the blackness of the November night was broken yesterday evening at the Salzburg Mozarteum when the Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of chief conductor Elisabeth Fuchs , performed serenades by Elgar, Bernstein and Tchaikovsky.
Standing ovations in the Grosses Festspielhaus Salzburg: together with the renowned soloists Elisabeth Breuer and Christa Ratzenböck, Elisabeth Fuchs and the Philharmonie Salzburg performed Vivaldi's impressive vocal work "Gloria" with their 200-strong choir.

The completely sold-out premiere of "A Symphonic Tribute to Queen" took place yesterday evening at the Grosses Festspielhaus Salzburg. A total of over 10,000 tickets were sold for the crossover program by Elisabeth Fuchs and the Philharmonie Salzburg. The Austrian "Queen of Pop" Monika Ballwein and musical star Philipp Büttner shone as vocal soloists, while the large choir of the Philharmonie provided support with 200 selected voices.
