"Thank You for the Music" with the Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra

Two impressive concerts were offered yesterday by the Philharmonie Salzburg under the direction of
Elisabeth Fuchs with Thank You for the Music - A symphonic tribute show to ABBA at the
Großes Festspielhaus Salzburg. Together with the singers Monika Ballwein
and Sabine Stieger as well as the large choir of the Philharmonie Salzburg, the world
world hits in front of a sold-out audience for pure Abba joie de vivre. Jasmin Rituper shone with
with dance interludes, partly floating with a vertical scarf, in perfect
choreography to the songs. Elisabeth Fuchs had the songs specially arranged for orchestra
songs by Thorsten Schäffer, including The Winner Takes It All, Knowing Me, Knowing
You, Mamma Mia and Super Trouper. The fact that "music connects and makes people happy" was
Elisabeth Fuchs thanked the audience personally at the end with "Thank You for the
Music". As a bonus, there was also Dancing Queen and Gimme, Gimme with
effective instrumental solos. The spark of a successful performance by the orchestra
the orchestra, choir and soloists jumped over to the audience, who also responded with a moving
audience, who also thanked them with a moving atmosphere and a standing ovation.

"Thank You for the Music" was the successful kick-off for the new 3-subscription of the
Philharmonie Salzburg on Fridays in the Grosses Festspielhaus. This is followed by "Classic meets
Cuba & Symphonic Salsa" with the Klazz Brothers & Cuba Percussion in January and
Salut Classique Symphonique with "Dreams" in April 2023.
