A masterpiece of music history: Handel's sacred oratorio The Messiah. The work describes the Christian story of salvation in three parts, beginning with the prophecy of Christ's birth, through the Passion and crucifixion of Jesus to his resurrection. The oratorio will be performed in the original English version by four brilliant vocal soloists, accompanied by around 60 singers from the Salzburg Philharmonic Choir.
