    Philharmonic Salzburg

Orchestra musicPhilharmonie Salzburg2020-02-24T14:49:01+01:00

Self-image

The Salzburg Philharmonic understands music in a holistic sense. As a collective of freelance, professional and highly committed artist personalities, we engage with society in a variety of ways through orchestral and chamber music concerts, education programs and corporate training offerings. We are convinced that only through a broad orientation is it possible to successfully meet the challenges of our time.

orchestral music

It is the unique enthusiasm and dedication of the musicians who make the concerts of the Philharmonie Salzburg something special. Programmatically, it is possible to set accents with unconventional programs, cross-over projects, performances of rarely performed works and the connection with other arts. The orchestra's own concert cycle is attended by 600 loyal subscribers. The Salzburg Philharmonic also performed at the Salzburg Festival, the Salzburg New Year's Concert in the Große Festspielhaus, the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, the Zollverein Essen or the Brucknerhaus Linz.

chamber music

The musicians of the Philharmonie Salzburg also play in chamber music groups, which can lead to an even better musical cohesion. We are happy to arrange our chamber music groups and ensembles for events, celebrations and parties.

Education

We see it as one of our central tasks to introduce the young generation to classical music. Our musicians pass on their skills and knowledge to children, adolescents and adults who want to learn an orchestral instrument. The concert offers for children, young people and families (organized by the children's festival) as well as workshop programs for schools are not only an important contribution to securing the audience of the future, but also represent an investment in the artistic and artistic education of adolescents.

Social

We see it as our duty to assume social responsibility as an artist. We also want to share our passion for music with people who are disadvantaged by social problems, age or illness. Therefore, we regularly visit hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, etc. to bring music to those people who otherwise would not be able to experience music live.

Economy

For companies, the Philharmonie Salzburg offers a special kind of training program. In the interplay of an orchestra there are numerous success factors that apply equally to companies: perfection, commitment, passion, teamwork, leadership quality, etc. In lectures, coaching and role-plays (with and without orchestra) parallels between orchestras and companies are shown and individual solutions are developed.
