It continues with Berlioz's fiery Overture to the Roman Carnival, which captures the festive atmosphere of Rome. The young virtuoso Erik Maier then delights the audience with his violin performance of Paganini's breathtaking, sparklingly artistic variations "Carnival in Venice."
