For the first time, Mahler's monumental Resurrection Symphony will be performed with a full choir and orchestra in the place where the majority of the symphony was created - Steinbach am Attersee. Life and death, the Last Judgement and the Resurrection are the powerful motifs that permeate this musical masterpiece.
Friedrich Gulda's cello concerto Eine Liebeserklärung an das Salzkammergut, written almost 100 years later in Weißenbach, is a virtuoso and humorous journey through various musical genres, which you can also experience on this evening with the exceptional young talent Emilian Schmid on the cello.
