The Children's & Youth Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Elisabeth Fuchs gave its big summer concert in the Salzburgarena on Friday evening in front of over 600 visitors. The youth orchestra for 7 to 18-year-olds showed once again that the fun of making music together can lead to musical excellence. A special highlight was the joint performance with the Salzburg Philharmonic Choir. The continuation of this music education project is not guaranteed from 2026.
350 workshops and 24 orchestral concerts for 3 to 12-year-olds will be held on Antonio Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" from today until July 3. The completely sold-out premiere of "A Symphonic Tribute to Queen" took place yesterday evening at the Grosses Festspielhaus Salzburg. A total of over 10,000 tickets were sold for the crossover program by Elisabeth Fuchs and the Philharmonie Salzburg. The Austrian "Queen of Pop" Monika Ballwein and musical star Philipp Büttner shone as vocal soloists, while the large choir of the Philharmonie provided support with 200 selected voices.

The new subscription cycle of the Philharmonie Salzburg and Elisabeth Fuchs will take place in a new venue in the city of Salzburg from the coming season.
On Wednesday evening, the concert audience in the Mozarteum Great Hall was treated to two highlights: firstly, Mozart's Piano Concerto in D minor, which improvisational wonder Galina Vracheva garnished with playful jazz cadenzas. Secondly, Beethoven's magnificent 7th Symphony swept through the almost sold-out concert hall - and led to real storms of enthusiasm.
