The Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra celebrated its 25th anniversary yesterday, October 12, with a ceremony in the Salzburg Kulisse and a brilliant anniversary concert in the Grosses Festspielhaus. Founder and chief conductor Elisabeth Fuchs and her orchestra were awarded the provincial coat of arms by Governor Wilfried Haslauer and the city seal in gold by local councillor Florian Kreibich.

Great public success of the Children's Festival Weeks (press release from 29.06.2023)

Over the past two weeks, the orchestra musicians of the Philharmonie Salzburg have held 350 workshops for school classes and kindergarten groups on Sergei Prokofiev's musical fairy tale "Peter and the Wolf" in Zell am See and the provincial capital, opening the door to the world of classical music for many children. 8,500 children were able to pick up an orchestral instrument for the first time and try it out under professional guidance.
