Daring and curiosity were rewarded with the successful launch of the new concert series MITTEN IM ORCHESTER: The Philharmonie Salzburg under chief conductor Elisabeth Fuchs performed two concerts for members of the association together with "Spallenmann" and violin virtuoso Sergey Malov in Salzburg's newest concert hall, the Center for Visions in Puch-Urstein.
In the Mozarteum Great Hall, string soloist and "Spallenmann" Sergey Malov delighted the audience with his performance of the rediscovered violoncello da spalla and a passionate Tchaikovsky violin concerto together with the Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra under Elisabeth Fuchs.
The Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra celebrated its 25th anniversary yesterday, October 12, with a ceremony in the Salzburg Kulisse and a brilliant anniversary concert in the Grosses Festspielhaus. Over the past six weeks, almost eighty children and young people between the ages of seven and 18 have put their heart and soul into rehearsing a colorful potpourri of classical orchestral pieces as well as pop and film music with seven professional musicians from the Philharmonie Salzburg and Elisabeth Fuchs.
