The Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Elisabeth Fuchs , provided an exhilarating concert experience in the Lehrbauhof, which was sold out twice, with both touching and impressive sounds from screen giants such as James Bond and Forrest Gump. A particular highlight was the performance of the Schindler' s List Suiteinterpreted with feeling by solo violinist Jelica Injac.
If you wanted to see James Horner's "Titanic" or Ramin Djawadi's "Game of Thrones" live, you had to get your tickets early: The two Philharmonie Salzburg concerts entitled "Best of Hollywood" had already been sold out for weeks. However, it wasn't just cineastes who got their money's worth at the two dates in Salzburg's Lehrbauhof, but also concertgoers looking for the unusual: Launched last concert season, the innovative subscription cycle "Mitten im Orchester" is characterized by the fact that there is no physical separation between audience and musicians. Yesterday, the orchestra, solo violinist Jelica Injac and conductor Elisabeth Fuchs performed without a stage, tier or pit. The ticket became a seat next to the violins, the double basses or the percussion. During the interval, the offer to swap seats was actively taken up.
When solo violinist Jelica Injac performed the famous suite from Steven Spielberg's Holocaust film "Schindler's List", the room was filled with emotion. The Belgrade-born soloist, who regularly works with the Philharmonie, was rewarded with a big round of applause for the emotional depth of her playing.
The program ended with the lively theme from "Pirates of the Caribbean" and with it a cheerful, musical call to new adventures, so that in the end a total of around 800 happy people left the Lehrbauhof.
Note: The next opportunity to experience a concert in the MITTEN IM ORCHESTER series will be on May 15, again at 17:00 and 20:00. You can find all information HERE.
