BartolomeyBittmann and Strings
Sounds, Grooves & Movement
BartolomeyBittmann: true poets of music. An event that only succeeds when the highest precision and skill meet the exhilaration of artistic creation, inspiration and the courage to allow oneself to be carried by these mysterious forces.
- Peer de Beer, Radiofabrik
Cellist Matthias Bartolomey and violinist and mandola player Klemens Bittmann take their classically anchored instruments - cello, violin and mandola - in a new direction. They combine pulsating and powerful rocking elements with the spontaneity and improvisation of jazz aesthetics. Their love of groove and challenging sounds, their respect for the instruments and their fascination with "time" are the central elements of their art. BartolomeyBittmann cannot and will not only make music: You can look forward to dance, movement, sound and emotion. The musicians present their program Best of BB together with the string orchestra of the Philharmonie Salzburg.
