F. SAY · “Gezi Park 1”, concerto for two pianos and orchestra, op. 48
S. RACHMANINOV · Symphony No. 1, D minor, Op. 13

The Turkish pianist, composer and civil rights activist Fazıl Say is considered one of the most important musicians of our time. Like many of his compositions, the piano concerto Gezi Park 1 also addresses socio-political aspects surrounding his homeland. The twin sisters Ferhan and Ferzan Önder perform the contemporary work on two pianos. Sergey Rachmaninoff's First Symphony will then be heard - an urgent, passionate work that the composer created when he was just 24 years old.
