The Philharmonie Salzburg, an international symphonic orchestra, with its chief conductor Elisabeth Fuchs, conveys access to symphonic music through innovative, diverse and educational concert formats, inspires young and old listeners with newly conceived concert experiences and the joy of making music, and encourages young talents to become part of this idea themselves.
The non-profit organizations Philharmonie Salzburg and Kinderfestspiele (total volume € 3.5 million p.a.) inspire more than 80,000 listeners* per year in over 150 concerts and advertise the position of a Personal Assistant to the Artistic Director (30 hours per week).
The main place of work is the office in the new Philharmonie Salzburg building: Nonntaler Hauptstr. 39c, 5020 Salzburg

We are an extremely committed team and are looking for a reliable, versatile and music-loving person to support the Artistic Director (Elisabeth Fuchs) in organizational, communicative and content-related tasks. The position requires enthusiasm for classical music, a high degree of independence and enjoyment of the variety of administrative and creative activities.

Prerequisites:
- Great enthusiasm and sound knowledge in the field of classical music, especially in the orchestral field (e.g. completed degree in music or musicology or equivalent knowledge acquired through self-education)
- Enjoy organization, communication and detailed work
- Very good written & spoken German & English skills
- Confident with MS Office, social media and digital tools
- Independent, structured, efficient and solution-oriented way of working
- High reliability, resilience and discretion
- Ability to work in a team, flexibility and humor:-)
- Accuracy in writing & proofreading texts
- Matura/Abitur & completed studies at a university of applied sciences or university
- Driving license B with driving experience
Activities:
- Supporting the artistic director in all organizational and administrative matters
- Travel and appointment planning, coordination of rehearsals, concerts and meetings
- Communication with musicians, partners, event organizers, journalists and agencies
- Preparation and follow-up of e-mails, sometimes answering them independently on behalf of the artistic director
- Assistance with orchestra set-up, flyers, organization of stage design, costumes and logistical processes
- Social media support (e.g. collecting and preparing content, coordinating posts)
- General project and office organization
- Case-by-case ticketing
- Free work in areas that we do not yet know:-)
Payment:
Please let us know your salary expectations. There is also the possibility of a different number of hours (20-40 hours). We pay salaried employees at least according to the Fair Pay Scheme for cultural work. According to the Fair Pay Calculator of kupf.at, your work is to be classified in level 3-5: https://kupf.at/fairpayrechner/
